Stickers

Stickers is a video slot from the Swedish games developer NetEnt and was released back in May 2015. The game is a very bright and vibrant slot that is aimed at being visually pleasing and fun to play. With much more of a simple premise than many other NetEnt games, Stickers can be seen as a refreshing change to many players.

Stickers slot by NetEnt is a 5-reel, 3-row video slot with 20 fixed pay lines and features regular Wild symbols that can transform into Sticky Wild symbols and activate Sticky Spins. The jackpot with Stickers is not as high as many other NetEnt games at 80,000 coins but it is still a decent enough prize if you can win it!

How to play Stickers Video Slot

When the game first loads you will be shown a splash screen showing a small version of the game and how the sticky wilds feature works. Clicking the continue button loads the main game screen. The 5 reels sit on a very green and fruity coloured background and the symbols themselves on the reels are very big and bold and again, fruity. You have your typical card symbols being 10, J, Q, K and A, along with blue, green, orange and red coloured fruit. The final symbol is the wild symbol.

Initially, you will want to set your cost per spin. This is done with the ‘Coin Value’ and ‘Bet Level’ buttons on the control panel. This video slot has 7 coin values ranging from 1p up to £1. On top of this, there are ten bet levels which multiply the number of coins bet. You can play from 20p up to a maximum of £200 per spin.

To spin the reels, select the green button with the rotating arrows in the centre of the control panel. Alternatively, use the ‘Max Bet’ button to play up to 1000 automated spins.

As hinted at in the beginning of this review, Stickers is a very simple game compared to others. There are no major features such as scatter symbols to get free spins or overlay wilds or mini games. Instead as you spin the reels you will win set amounts for matching symbols while trying to hit bigger wins with the sticky wild symbol. These symbols do actually land fairly frequently.

When a sticky wild appears on any of the reels you will be awarded a sticky re-spin and the wild symbol will remain in place. The wild symbol will substitute for all symbols to maximise your chance of a win. If during the re-spin another sticky wild appears, then you will have a further re-spin. This will continue for each time a sticky wild appears with each wild symbol remaining on the reels. The re-spins will end when a spin takes place that does not see a new sticky wild appear. Obtaining a large group of wild symbols during the re-spins can see you achieving big wins.

Is Stickers the right video slot for you?

Stickers has a theoretical RTP (return to player) of 96.69% giving a house edge of 3.31%. We tested the game over 100 spins at a cost per spin of £1.00 and we found that this video slot produced plenty of lower value wins during the base game. We never went more than 8 spins without some form of a win.

Because the game has only the one feature which is the sticky wilds then it may not be a game that you would play for long periods of time. If you are looking for a game that changes in the way that it plays due to other features then you may want to try something like The Invisible Man as an example.

During our test spins the sticky wilds landed frequently enough to enhance the gameplay experience and produce at times some good sized wins. The game is more of a low variance game with not much of a gap between the number of coins you can win particularly for 4 and 5 symbols. Overall it can be enjoyable for a short period of time or useful for working through a wagering requirement on a free casino bonus.
